The Gameplay Test is Out Now!
Homeworld Takedown Classic » Devlog
The first gameplay test is out now! This is just to test overall gameplay and it has a lot of non working features. You can only go up to wave 5 until the next test. I'll be updating the test build with new features as well as getting the existing non working features in the game. This was a lot of work to get to this stage. Feedback would help me out a lot!

It feels a bit more polished than the last time I played!
For starters, I like the way the buttons get highlighted when you move the mouse over them. As for the actual game, the movement is very smooth and I like how the trees go transparent when you pass under them. Between levels, I liked the option of being able to heal or get more ammo.
A few recommendations:
Give the letters in "Homeworld Takedown" more contrast -- it's hard to see purple text on a purple background.
Along the same lines, I almost didn't see the Settings gear icon in the upper-right because it doesn't stand out very much.
It's not very obvious that you use the mouse to fire. Might be worth mentioning in-game so the player isn't pressing all the keyboard buttons trying to make something happen.
Cool to see that you're still working on this game!
Thank you for your feedback! I'll probably just make a new title screen eventually so that shouldn't be a problem when the game is finished. I'll try to tweak the settings icon to make it more noticeable without getting to much in the way. I'm planning on making a tutorial for the game so you'll know how to play.
Thanks so much for playing the build I've been talking about remaking the game for a while I'm just glad I can finally have something to show people. For a bit there I didn't think it would turn out that well but I'm really happy with the way that things are going!
